Intimate Studio Maternity Photos | San Diego Maternity Photo Studio
I love when parents come and ask for intimate studio maternity photos. I do them in my San Diego Photography Studio located in La Mesa. These portraits can be so special for mom-to-be to remember this special time. It’s also very special when their partner joins in as well. Since my photography studio is private, with tinted windows, we have great flexibility to do whatever we want in the studio. Want nude maternity photos? Let’s do it! Want to wear just your lingerie? No problem. I am open to all kinds of creativity and will help you feel your absolute best in your pregnant body. I know being pregnant is a change from what you’re used to. That’s why I love that I can take these intimate studio maternity photos and help moms feel as beautiful, confident, and glowing as they should.
This mama looked stunning and brought in this gorgeous black, lace lingerie set to use for her pictures. With some dramatic lighting, this turned into a set of photos everyone loved. Dad joined in as well wearing a matching black tank. These intimate studio maternity photos are what every mom should have!
Simple, Timeless and Beautiful | Intimate Studio Maternity Photos |
What I loved the most about this session was the different outfits we used. We incorporated this simple white dress alongside the more intimate studio maternity photos in black lingerie. It created such a unique design in their maternity album from our Heirloom Products collection.
You can plan multiple outfits for your maternity session. The only limit to how many outfit changes we do is how tired you get. That being said, most moms end up doing 3-4 outfit changes during the session. But like I warn every mom, it’s hard work being a model. And when you’re between 28-32 weeks pregnant, your energy gets depleted fairly quickly. Therefore, 3-4 outfit changes seem to be the sweet spot for maternity pictures. After that, mom is too exhausted to keep going.

We ended this stunning session with a nude-colored chiffon fabric piece. Then we dressed it up with a gold necklace and added a matching backdrop. These images made this pregnant mom-to-be look like the absolute goddess that she is. I absolutely loved being able to incorporate this gold necklace and turn a piece of fabric into more of a draping dress. The necklace is extra special because it is my mom’s old necklace. A fun way to reuse jewelry you have at home. It gives so much versatility to maternity photos. This chiffon fabric is also really neat with how it reacts to wind flow. Dad was a perfect assistant and tossed the fabric for mom, and we ended up with the most stunning collection of maternity photos.
