Whispering Sands Sunset Family Pictures
I first met Jackie and her family when baby M was born. They had just moved to San Diego and needed a Newborn Photographer and I was so excited they reached out. Since then we’ve become good friends and I’ve seen them back at the studio for many of M’s milestone pictures. Jackie is also a fellow IVF mom and has been such a good support for me as I’ve gone through this journey. So of course I loved planning out their Whispering Sands Sunset Family Pictures for their yearly fall photos.

Is there anything cuter than babies and their best friend – the furbaby? Honestly, the connection most babies have with their dogs is one that could melt even the coldest hearts. Mom wasn’t convinced about bringing the dog to the beach in the beginning as she’s still a puppy and “may not listen that well”. And while we ended up having her run into the water a couple of times, I’m so glad they brought her because these pictures are some of my favorites.

Do you want to know something fun? Of course, we wanted the dog to be part of some of the family pictures. However, we also wanted to ensure we had some pictures of the family without the dog. So where did the dog go you ask? I held on to her! Which I always do during a shoot. It’s part of the many hats I wear as a photographer. Dog Holder, Baby Holder, Dress Fluffer etc. It’s always fun trying to wrangle a high-energy dog though, while also trying to keep the camera stable enough to take the pictures. And then also interact with my clients and guide them into different poses. But we always make it work and the end results are always worth the extra sweat and pull!
