Sisterly Love | San Diego Studio Newborn Photos |
Is there anything sweeter than seeing a big sister showering her new baby sister with love? This big sister sure couldn’t get enough of the new baby smell and wanted to cuddle sissy the entire session. I love doing sibling shots on the bed during your San Diego Studio Newborn Photos. It’s a more relaxed but safe way to pose siblings. The siblings are safe on the bed and so is your newborn baby. It’s soft and big enough that if your toddler decides they’re done with the baby, baby is still safe on the bed. Plus I love the variety it provides to your newborn gallery.
Family Hugs | San Diego Studio Newborn Photos |
Is there anything better than family hugs? It’s one of my favorite things to capture during San Diego Studio Newborn Photos. It showcases the love and connection between family members while they’re celebrating their newest little baby. When there are younger, older siblings included in your newborn session, I love doing these on the bed as well, versus standing up. It gives big sister and brother an opportunity to be on the same level as their parents and they’re able to interact with their baby sibling as well.
Bloom like a Flower | San Diego Newborn Studio Photos |
When looking for backdrops to use for my San Diego Newborn Studio Photos I like to find new pieces that add some interest to a photo session. Believe it or not, this floral backdrop is actually a piece of fabric that I found at Joann’s Fabric Store. While most of my fabrics come from awesome newborn photography vendors, I do love to find some great pieces at local fabric shops. It adds personality and flair to sessions. I’ll combine it with a simple swaddle or a naked pose so that it doesn’t work against each other. Doesn’t she look lovely on this blooming backdrop?
Lady in Pink | San Diego Newborn Studio Photos |
While I love experimenting with different colors, the dusty rose and purple tones are always my favorite combinations. Especially for a baby with dark hair. And while I love monotone color setups for my San Diego Newborn Studio Photos, I also love to pop a surprise color in there every once in a while. Like this mint green newborn prop, it just works so well with the pink and purple hues. The pink fur rug that you see here is one of my favorite to use for newborn pictures. It has such a gorgeous dusty rose tone to it while being super versatile. It’s one of those colors that I can change up in Photoshop if I want it to be more muted or more pink.
Sleeping Beauty | San Diego Newborn Studio Photos |
To finish off this stunning gallery of this sleeping beauty, I wanted to showcase the purple and grey tones we used. And especially in combination with blues on this adorable little newborn bed that’s one of my favorite newborn props for newborn pictures that I use. This bed is a go to for any San Diego Newborn Studio Photos and parents always choose the portraits that include the bed setup. It was no different for this stunning newborn gallery.
