Honestly, I couldn’t wait to do this session. My baby niece is the happiest and most smiley baby I know. I wanted to bring her to the studio as soon as she could sit unassisted for an adorable, Colorful Studio 6 Month Sitter Session. And I mean, as soon as, because she literally started sitting unassisted just a few days before her portrait session. WORTH IT!!

Of course, I knew I wanted to bring color to her session. With her big and bubbly personality, I knew she could handle any color I threw at her. And I was soooo right. This olive green outfit that mom brought worked so amazingly with this Purple Savage Seamless Backdrop. Matched with these new headbands from Polkadots & Sunshine it was the perfect colorful setup for this baby portrait session in my San Diego Photography Studio.

Continuing with the colorful theme, we set up this stunning Evergreen Savage Seamless Backdrop for baby girl. Matched with this beautiful sage green rabbit fur from The Original Photoblocks, a cream onesie, and a blue, velvet headband it was the most perfect setup. Also, peak the adorable moccasins from Bird Rock Baby that baby girl is wearing. These moccasins are made with soft, genuine leather and so adorable I kind of want a pair of my own. Too bad they don’t make adult sizes!

Also, can we take a second to admire baby girl’s precious smile? The bestest, toothless smile you’ll see. The biggest thing to note though is that, while she looks incredibly happy in these pictures, it did take some bribing and cuddling. We only had about 30 minutes of her being ok with a camera in her face. When working with babies who are 6-7 months old it’s important to understand that their attention span is short. So being prepared and quick to get multiple setups is important. We want the session to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible for both the baby and the parents.

Last but not least, we finished with a timeless and classic setup using this white backdrop. We actually ended up with two setups on here. A simple setup with a pink romper that mom brought in, matched with a teal headband from Polkadot and Sunshine.  And then the most timeless setup of them all, a little nakey, tushy setup.

Honestly, these studio photos with mom are some of my favorites too. Mom wasn’t really counting on being in the pictures, but I managed to sneak in these two pictures, and they ended up being mom’s, and mine’s, favorites! They’re so sweet and cute and will make for the perfect memory for both mom and baby to look back at!
