My little goddaughter turned ONE! I cannot believe it. How did she get so big already. I still remember doing her newborn pictures like it was yesterday, and now it was time for her cake smash session. Obviously, since I didn’t have a studio, we ended up doing it at my friend’s house. As luck would have it, the sun came it just in time, it warmed up the air just ever so slightly, and we moved our cake smash outdoors.
My nephew’s have SO much energy! It is so hard to keep up with them sometimes, and I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck every time I’m home. It’s tiring just to watch them – they’ve got a never-ending supply of energy and I am beyond impressed with how their parents handle them. But they’re also the cutest little things ever and I love them to pieces!
There ain’t nothing more exciting than taking pictures of friends. Especially friends who have become like family over the last few years. I met Kristina when we were both working at Target in Minneapolis, many, many, many years ago.
Every year, as the leaves start to turn, the chill in the air comes back, and my closet opens up to more cosy sweaters and boots, I book a flight to go back to Minnesota to catch the beautiful colors. This year was no different, although I almost missed the fall colors.
