Looking for a maternity or motherhood photographer in Forest Lake? I’ve photographed several Forest Lake families, from a sunrise maternity session in tall backyard grass to fall family portraits. Forest Lake is in Washington County, about 29 miles northeast of Minneapolis, named for the thick timber along its shore. Plenty of homes here come with their own trees and tall grass, so we can photograph your session right at home, at a beautiful spot nearby like Gammelgården in Scandia, or in my warm studio in downtown Anoka.

All of these images were made in their backyard, surrounded by trees and tall grass, with the fall sunrise glowing behind them. Her three-year-old son knew just how to work the camera with his big blue eyes.

Of course, we also had to get big brother in there for a few pictures, as well as some updated family pictures. To think I first met Bethany & Joe in 2007, when I first came to the US. Now they’re my best of friends, with two amazing children and a lifetime of memories.
My little goddaughter turned ONE! I cannot believe it. How did she get so big already? Since I didn’t have a studio back then, we did her birthday pictures at my friend’s house in Forest Lake. As luck would have it, the sun came out just in time, warmed up the air ever so slightly, and we moved everything outdoors.
